It has reported that the next generation of Apple’s popular operating system, iOS7, will see a number of changes in what is the biggest overhaul of the software since its introduction a few years ago. Apple are set to make these changes in a bid to help the software compete against a number of more modern rivals including Android and Microsoft’s Windows platform. iOS7 is set to debut on the iPhone 5S this summer but it looks as though Apple are running behind in terms of it’s development. It has been reported that the American giants have had to draft programmers over from the forthcoming OSX 10.9 software in a bid to ensure that iOS 7 is finalised in time. Time is running out for Apple if their reported launch date of mid summer 2013 is to be achieved.
Despite these reported delays it has already been suggested that Apple are quite far down the road in terms of iOS7 and that the software package has already reached testing stages. The software is a complete overhaul from earlier versions of the package and because of this public interest in it is set to be higher than ever as we edge closer to its launch. In a bid to stop information about the software leaking out ahead of its launch it has been rumoured that Apple have fitted test phones carrying the software with a special polarised display in an effort to stop prying eyes from catching a glimpse.
