We are use to seeing Apple release new iPhone devices towards the end of the third quarter of the year however recent reports suggest otherwise. The next smartphone from the company, the iPhone 5S, is expected to be unveiled during the summer.
The Wall Street Journal have suggested that mass production of the new iPhone 5S will begin in the next few weeks which means that the company will be able to produce plenty of devices to satisfy the huge demand. If these rumours are to be true we may see the new model on our shelves towards the end of the second quarter which is much earlier than a normal iPhone release. More than one unnamed source has confirmed this news although these people remain anonymous. These latest reports do not however provide us with any clues as to what features will be present on the new device. Fingerprint scanning technology has been suggested although we will have to wait and see whether the facility will be on board.
These latest reports have also touched upon the possibility of Apple also releasing a cheaper version of the iPhone. There have been many rumours surrounding a budget device from Apple and it has now been suggested that these rumours are indeed true. We can expect to see the new budget model launched alongside the new iPhone 5S and to enable costs to remain low the handset will feature a body constructed from less premium materials to that found on previous iPhones. We have also heard that the 4 inch display aboard the budget iPhone will not be a Retina Display which will also help to reduce production costs.
It looks as though we will be seeing the new iPhone 5S sooner than first expected and a new budget iPhone will also be launched alongside it. Check out our site for the best iPhone 5S and iPhone 5 offers.
