iphone 5s Later this summer we are expecting to see the new iPhone 5S debut and we are set to see a host of new features on this model as there is set to be no major changes in terms of design. One area where it has been suggested that there will be some big changes is with the camera facility and new reports have highlighted that the secondary camera is set to offer a new dual shot feature and enhanced resolution.

According to iOSDoc the new iPhone 5S will feature an improved front facing camera which also offers a dual shot facility. Apparently they have spoken to a software engineer at Apple who has confirmed that these changes are set to take place. The iPhone 5S is set to offer 2 mega pixel resolution from the secondary camera, a move that will bring the device in line with other leading smartphones including the new Samsung Galaxy S4. The model is also set to offer dual shot functionality, a feature that we be an integral part of the new iOS7 software package that will debut on the phone. Despite being part of iOS however dual shot is not set to be available to other iPhone handsets that have been upgraded to iOS7. This feature is still being Beta tested and Apple face a race against time to have it completed in time for the expected late summer launch of the model.

The new dual shot feature that is set to feature on the iPhone 5S is a new piece of software that will allow both the front and rear cameras on the phone to function at the same time. This will enable images to be captured from both cameras simultaneously. This year we have already seen the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the LG Optimus Pro released which also offer similar functionality. Video capture is also in line for a boost and it has been suggested that Full HD 1080P resolution will be supported by the 5S. Camera feature have been an area where many manufacturers have been focusing their attentions recently. Not only is the quality of images and video improving at a rapid rate company’s are also keen to make sharing files and operating the camera easier than ever before.

It looks as though front facing camera improvements are just one enhancement that we can expect to see on the new iPhone 5S. The model is expected to launch later in the summer this year.
