Traditionally we see brand new Apple iPhone devices released towards the end of the third quarter of the year and this year is set to be no different with the iPhone 5S. Apple are yet to confirm the brand new model but various reports have suggested that production of the device is already underway. These claims are supported by the emergence of images of the phone in production and the latest pictures show the batteries for the new handset on the production line.
Over the past weeks several reports have emerged that state that Apple’s next generation smartphone, the iPhone 5S, is currently in production. These reports now have more weight to them since images of the phone during the production process have been published. A further image has now been released that shows the battery cells that will be used on this brand new device. The actual pictures show trays comprising of several batteries on the production line. The image is said to have been taken in one of Apple’s manufacturing partners plants in China. The batteries themselves have nothing printed on them so the snaps do not really tell us about what size the battery is or what kind of capacity. What the snaps do tell us however is that earlier reports about production being underway are more than likely to be correct.
Along with these latest images a brief post was written about the picture. It explained that these new battery cells are identical in physical size to the ones featured on the iPhone 5S, the current top of the range model from Apple. This actually rubbishes earlier reports that stated that not only was the new battery set to offer a larger capacity but it would also be physically bigger in terms of dimensions. As yet the model has not be officially confirmed by the American manufacturers and once it is we are sure to find out much more about what the handset has to offer. In the meantime we will have to sit tight and hope that more leaked information pops up.
The new iPhone 5S is currently rumoured to be in production which suggests that the model is on target for a September launch. Until then the iPhone 5 remains the premium Apple device on the market.
